Farming Manager
About the role
As an Farming Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day and long-term management of a commercial farm, ensuring efficient and profitable operations, including supervising staff, monitoring crops, and managing budgets and resources.
What you’ll be doing
- Supervise and manage farm staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
- Monitor crops’ growth, implementing necessary interventions to ensure optimal yields and productivity
- Implement and maintain crop rotation and soil management practices
- Plan and execute farm operations, including planting, harvesting, and processing
- Prepare and manage farm budgets, ensuring profitability and resource allocation
- Track expenses and revenues, identifying areas for cost reduction and revenue enhancement
- Manage logistics, including transportation of crops
What we’re looking for
- Diploma or Bachelor degree in Agronomy or similar majors, other majors are welcomed to apply, provided they have the required experiences in the same positions or lines of work
- Minimum of 5 years working experience in sugarcane plantation industry
