Workshop Manager

About the role

As an Workshop Manager, you will oversee all aspects of workshop operations, ensuring smooth workflow, efficient resource management, and high-quality output, while also supervising staff and implementing safety protocols.

What you’ll be doing

• Develop and implement schedules for machine usage, workflow, and maintenance activities
• Manage and allocate resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to ensure efficient operations
• Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring timely replenishment of supplies and materials
• Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure products or services meet required standards
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and protocols within the workshop environment
• Identify areas for improvement in workshop processes and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity
• Address and resolve issues or problems that arise in the workshop environment
• Analyze data related to workshop performance to identify trends and areas for improvement
• Manage the workshop budget, ensuring cost-effective operations

What we’re looking for

• Strong knowledge in heavy machinery (Bulldozers, Excavators, Loaders, Tractors, etc)
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment failures
• Familiarity with OEM standards and industry regulations
• Experience leading a team of mechanics, technicians and support staff
• Strong decision making and reporting skills
